The report highlights the company's progress in FY22 across its focus areas of people and consumers, animals and the planet. The company achieved 100% GFSI BRC Food Safety Standard certification at all of its sites in both Australia and New Zealand. It also continued to improve its animal welfare performance with the implementation of the HatchCare incubation technology at its Pakenham and Muckenburra hatcheries. In line with its commitment to reducing its environmental footprint, the company reduced its absolute Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG emissions by 1.6% against FY21 and 6.8% against FY19. It also achieved the first Toitū net carbon zero certification for chicken in New Zealand, with its Waitoa Free Range Chicken product.
