ASE Technology Holding Co Ltd 2019 Corporate Sustainability Report

The report describes ASEH's commitment to building a sustainable business and its sustainability highlights in 2019. The company focused on four strategic pillars - Low Carbon, Circular, Inclusive and Collaborative - for its business operations. ASEH has implemented a number of initiatives to achieve its sustainability goals, including reducing its carbon footprint, promoting social inclusion, and increasing employee engagement. Key highlights from that year include a 29% increase in the use of renewable energy and a 28% decrease in the consumption of fossil fuel. The company also completed the construction of its second water recycling facility, which processed 30,000 metric tons of reclaimed water per day. ASEH also launched its 'Share the Love' social welfare program and invested approximately US$0.3 million into the production of surgical masks at its Kaohsiung facility. ASEH also continued its industry-academia collaborations and partnered with top universities to develop innovative semiconductor technology. The company achieved a 58% ratio of non-tier 1 suppliers conducting a risk assessment, and 100% of its critical material suppliers completed the RBA Self-Assessment Questionnaire.
