The report is Batelco's first standalone sustainability report, highlighting the company's Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) activities, performance, and progress, including future commitments and objectives to integrate ESG best practices. The report covers Batelco's operations across the Kingdom of Bahrain and outlines the company's sustainability framework, which includes seven focus areas: Privacy and Personal Data Protection, Customer Relations, Responsible Use of Products and Services, Training and Development of Human Capital, Diversity and Equal Opportunity, Health and Safety, Corporate Social Responsibility, Customer Relations, A Transparent, Ethical and Accountable Company, Sustainable Economic Growth, Innovation and Digital Reach, Our People, Environmental Protection, and Community Development. Key highlights of the report include the establishment of the Batelco Solar Park, which produces 1,600 MWh of clean energy and reduces carbon emissions by 900 tonnes annually; the introduction of a Higher Education Scholarship in partnership with the American University of Bahrain (AUBH), to support education in the Kingdom of Bahrain by providing opportunities for students to access international education; the successful implementation of Batelco's Data Analytics and Continuous Control Monitoring (CCM) project; the expansion of the company's mobile network to cover major housing developments being built across Bahrain; and the completion of the second season of the company's internal Ramadan programme, which was broadcast live on the company's internal Instagram channel.
