The report highlights Coles' commitment to sustainability with focus on Together to Zero and Better Together, outlining their ambitions across key sustainability areas such as climate change, waste and hunger, and working together with stakeholders to drive positive change. Key highlights include their new target of 85% solid waste diversion from landfill by FY25, achieving net zero emissions by 2050 and sourcing 100% renewable electricity by FY25. Coles also partnered with Victorian recycling organisations to develop Polyrok, a sustainable alternative to mineral aggregate used in concrete, made from recycled plastic bags and soft plastic packaging recovered from the REDcycle program.
