The report highlights DEWA's commitment to sustainability and its achievements in 2020. The company exceeded its original target of 7% for clean energy in the generation mix by 2020, reaching 9%. DEWA also invested AED 11.66 million to phase out all Ozone depleting substances (ODS) by 2020 and successfully contracted 124,301 I-RECs from the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park. DEWA also implemented several initiatives to improve the wellbeing of its employees, including a new Employee Assistance program, which provided emotional support to employees who were facing challenges.
