Responsible Business Report

Overview

The report presents IHG's 2023 progress on responsible business across people, communities and the planet. It describes a Science Based Targets initiative-validated goal to reduce global GHG emissions by 46% by 2030 from a 2019 baseline, covering Scope 1, Scope 2 and material Scope 3 sources. ESG tables report 14,285,090 MWh of global energy use and 829,424 tonnes of waste for 2023, alongside detailed GHG, water and workforce data. The report also highlights governance by the Board and Responsible Business Committee, community programmes, and continued action on human rights, renewable energy and resource efficiency.
